Most of the thousands of city trees that are felled each year in London are not seen as viable to harvest for their timber as removal are often difficult and the timber they create cannot be guaranteed to produce standard specification planks in any volume for the mainstream timber market. They are generally sent to landfill as waste at a cost to the tree management services.
The City Wood Company removes and delivers trees at a very competitive rate and provides assurance to tree management customers that the trees will be used for its timber rather than unnecessarily wasted. Past jobs include removing unwanted trees from gardens and other private and public areas. On request from customers the products can be constructed to meet your requirements, although this may attract a small additional fee.
In addition to the ‘designer timber’, we provide a broad range of top quality hard and soft seasoned planked timber for use in construction, furniture making, gardening projects etc. Furniture groups, carpenters and customers seeking material for home improvement are welcome to purchase and request specific timbers which are difficult to attain from mainstream retail outlets.
